The CWG is in need of a secretary! If you can attend one Board meeting a month and take some notes, YOU could be our next secretary!
In order to keep our status as a 501(c)3 non profit, the CWG must have a Board. If you would like to see our organization continue to run low-cost contests, create annual anthologies, bring in monthly speakers, host parties and more, please consider running for the Board in September.
Our current secretary is Cynthia Young. For her chapbook Migration (Finishing Line Press,2018), she was recognized as a finalist in the Bluelight Chapbook contest, and the 2019 Georgia Author of the Year award in her category. She is a poet, a grandmother, and an active member in more than one CWG critique groups. Cynthia has also been extremely helpful this year doing double-duty as our Program Director. She has brought in many wonderful, accomplished writers to speak to us this year about their experiences in and tips for publishing. Thank you, Cynthia!

If you would like to run for the position of secretary, let Cynthia know the next time you see her. Or you can send an email to kate.landers@chattanoogawritersguild.org.
