The CWG is in need of a Treasurer. This person should be organized, dependable, and have some experience with bookkeeping. The Treasurer attends the monthly Board meetings, is responsible for any new and recurring CWG payments, responds to any issues with member dues, issues winner payouts for our contests and speaker fees for our monthly presenters, etc.
Our current Treasurer, Chris Wood, has done a truly excellent job this year and we are so grateful for all her hard work. She has organized fundraisers and community events with the CWG, manned tables, taken photos at every meeting, run our monthly contest series, and so much more. She is an accomplished poet, with her poetry appearing in several journals and anthologies.
She has also automated and organized as much of her job as possible and will be available to train the next Treasurer. If you are considering volunteering as Treasurer, please let Chris know or send an email to kate.landers@chattanoogawritersguild.org.
