Join us April 14th for our monthly meeting!

This National Poetry Month,
CWG’s Offering “The Anatomy of Creative Writing Collections” with Featured Speaker John Mannone

John’s interactive talk will use examples from his 11 published collections and others in development. John will examine strategies for compiling poems, short stories, or creative nonfiction essays for chapbook and full-length collections.

He will address common questions such as:

* Where do I start, and how?

* How do I arrange and sequence the work?

* And, time-permitting: How do I find and submit it to an independent press?

He will also share often-overlooked tactical advice and ideas on marketing collections.

A prize-winning poet and author, John is a past president of the Chattanooga Writers’ Guild and was recently appointed Poet Laureate for the City of Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
