November 2023 Monthly Contest Judge

Kate Landers is our November Monthly Contest judge for fiction on the theme, “The Family You Choose.” Kate is the former president of the Chattanooga Writers’ Guild, and her fiction has won several awards and been included in various anthologies and online journals. She holds a B.A. in English from Texas State University and has self-published several children’s books under her pen name Billie Bang. You can read more about her at katelanders.com.

November call for submissions is Fiction with the theme of The Family You Choose. Writers are invited to interpret that as loosely or closely as they wish. Deadline to submit is November 30, 2023 with a 1,500 word limit. Winners announced in December.

Our Monthly Contests open on the 1st of each month and close on the last day, with one winner and one runner-up announced the following month. Winners receive $25, and winners and runners-up receive publication in and one free copy of our next anthology, available in 2024. Monthly Contests are available to current members of the Chattanooga Writers’ Guild only, and are free to enter. To become a member, click HERE
