The Chattanooga Writers’ Guild seeks submissions of Creative Nonfiction with the theme of Maps. Writers are invited to interpret the theme as loosely or closely as they wish. Deadline to submit up to 3 works is December 31st, 2025, with a 1,500 word limit per work. Check out the full submission guidelines HERE.
CWG President, Sherry Poff, will judge this month’s submissions. Winners will be announced in January 2026.

Our Monthly Contests open on the 1st of each month and close on the last day, with one winner and one runner-up announced the following month. The first-place winner receives $50. The work of the winner and runner-up will be submitted for publication in The Pulse and considered for publication in our anthology. Writers included in the anthology will receive one free copy, available the following year.
