Signal Mountain Library hosts children’s author Sue Carol Elvin

Signal Mountain Library recently announced that on Saturday, October 26, at 12:00 p.m. they will host a presentation by local writer Sue Carol Elvin, author of The Memory Guardians: The House on Stone Street. Elvin will read excerpts from her book—and may ask for volunteers from the audience to read as well. She describes the story as follows: “Two spirits, Boogery Mungo and Umbriago (Boo and Iago), are assigned to the attic of a 120-year-old house to capture and absorb memories over time from the day the house was built. These Memory Guardians share wonderful stories of family love and challenging times on Stone Street.”

The library scheduled this event on a Saturday because grade-school-age readers, busy during the week, are Elvin’s target audience. Of course, her lively and imaginative presence will appeal to all ages—and admission is free.
