Join us TONIGHT for our Monthly Meeting

Our next meeting will be held tonight, Tuesday, July 11th, and will feature Mandy L. Cantrell. She will give a presentation titled “Five Steps from Recreational Writer to Published Author,” where she will share the process of marketing a self-published series while producing a traditionally published stand-alone novel, all within a year’s time. Join us at The Edney Innovation Center on the 5th Floor in the large conference room. The doors open at 6:00 pm EDT and the program will begin at 6:30. If you want to join virtually, use this link: https://meet.google.com/gih-wxuc-gzc.

Mandy L Cantrell is a native of North Georgia who specializes in true-to-life storytelling that reaches below the surface, digging deep into back stories and hidden agendas. She is the author of The Trace Books, a YA/A “spooky little series with a rock n roll soundtrack,” self-published through Amazon. The series of much local interest was heavily branded to include Trace Merch and Trace-themed events based on the characters and time period of the books. The third in the series, The Tracks of Trace Erring, was released earlier this year.

Additionally, Cantrell’s novel, A Fair in August, is described as a Southern thriller with a twist and is currently being prepared for an audiobook. Many know her as “The Collector” due to her Facebook live events of the same name; the name being a reference to an upcoming book as well as a personal interest as a collector of curious things and curious stories. Cantrell boasts several published short stories, including “Pen Pal, A Reflection,” which references the story behind a piece from her private collection, now on display at the largest crime museum in the nation!

Mandy is the President of Cartersville Area Writers Group in Cartersville, GA. She lives with her husband and son in Adairsville, GA, with their two dogs. She enjoys photography and art, on the side while working part-time as a creative marketing advisor for writers in every stage of the process. She has two books currently in the works, The Collector and Spiderflies.

Our Monthly Meetings are always free and open to the public. The Edney locks its doors at 6:30, so please do not be late. Hope to see you there!
