January 2023 Monthly Contest Call for Submissions

We are closed to submissions of Poetry with the theme of Appalachia. Writers are invited to interpret that as loosely or closely as they wish. Deadline to submit 1 to 3 poems was January 31, 2023 with a 40 line limit per poem.

Helga Kidder, poet and founder of CWG, will judge this month’s submissions. Winner will be announced in February.

This contest is available to members only. Once logged into your account, the submission form is under the “Members” tab on our homepage. If you need help logging in, please contact tech-support@chattanoogawritersguild.org.

Our Monthly Contests open on the 1st of each month and close on the last day, with one winner and one runner-up announced the following month. Winners receive $25, and winners and runners-up receive publication in and one free copy of our next anthology, available in 2024. Monthly Contests are available to current members of the Chattanooga Writers’ Guild only, and are free to enter. To become a member, click HERE
