The International Women’s Writing Guild celebrates with a Poetry Palooza

Join IWWG with your host Trish Hopkinson for an evening of celebration, discussion on self-care for creative writers, and a poetry contest kick-off event! We’ll be announcing the upcoming poetry programming, including a poetry contest with cash prizes in collaboration with Kelsay Books, and gathering together poets, writers, and educators, to talk about self-care for creatives–how to nurture your creativity and create healthy writing habits while balancing other aspects of life. Panelists include: Katie Manning, contest judge, award-winning poet, and founding editor of Whale Road Review; Nnenna Loveth Nwafor, published under the name Sarah Nnenna Loveth Nwafor, queer, Igbo-American poet, educator, and facilitator; Marj Hahne, poet, writer, editor, and educator; Sherre Vernon, poet, educator, and mentor; Anya Achtenberg, novelist, poet, educator, and writer’s consultant; Elisabeth Blair, poet, writing consultant, editor, and workshop leader.
