Local Author Sponsors Adoption Event

Award-Winning author B.T. Polcari is partnering with The Humane Educational Society of Chattanooga on Saturday, August 13th to celebrate rescue-animals. All adoption fees will be waived for the day and included in each adopter’s gift bag from HES will be a copy of B.T. Polcari’s latest book Fire & Ice featuring rescue pup Mauzzy.

Head to the adoption page at HESCHATT.ORG to learn how to sign up for an adoption appointment. HES offers one-on-one adoption appointments every 30 minutes, allowing adopters time to get to know the personalities of each pet.

Local author B.T. Polcari is a champion of adopting pets from shelters or fosters. Even the co-protagonist of his critically-acclaimed amateur sleuth mystery series “Mauzzy & Me” is a rescued miniature dachshund who hails from Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Mauzzy is the only real character in the series, the pup having been adopted by Polcari’s daughter when attending the University of Alabama. The first time B.T. Polcari met Mauzzy, he was greeted with a puddle of pee. It happened more than once, but Polcari wasn’t immune to the big hazel eyes of Mauzzy, and the rest is history.

B.T. Polcari will be on site from 12:00-2:00 signing books, sharing stories, and wishing adopters luck. More information about his upcoming release can be found at btpolcari.com

B.T. Polcari is a graduate of Rutgers College of Rutgers University, an award-winning mystery author, and a proud father of two wonderful children.
