The 1st meeting of the Chattanooga Writers’ Guild was September 11, 2001; yes that tragic day. The small group or writers decided to meet in spite of that day’s events and the group began to grow. So this month marks 20 years of supporting writers, contributing to the creative spirit of our Chattanooga, changes in leadership, seeing many of our members get published, but all of them improving in their craft, making friendships and rubbing shoulders with fellow writers, having contests and publishing the winners in our anthology, many open mics, the Chattanooga Readers and Writers Fair, radio interviews on WUTC, the critique groups that really cultivate the writers in us. Thank you Chattanooga Writers’ Guild for being here for us. Thank you all who have contributed over the years to make this happen!
