May’s contest theme is “Renewal.”

Our judge will be Lee Ann Gillen, assisted by Tim Butler and Finn Bille. Lee Ann Gillen has work published in Pinesong, Bay Leaf, Windhover and the CWG 2019 and 2020 Anthologies. She enjoys reading and writing in many genres, and often includes nature, science, and humor in her poetry and other writing. After living and working in Raleigh, NC for almost 38 years, she has retired to Chattanooga, TN. While in Raleigh, she designed, wrote, and taught workshops and courses, and gave presentations and seminars locally and at many national conferences in a variety of subjects. She has worked as the director of a medical technology program, a senior web developer and instructional designer (NCSU), and as a technical writer on many diverse projects. She has published five papers in the scientific literature and judged several writing competitions in two states. She lives in Lookout Valley.
This contest is free for CWG members. The award is $25- plus publication on the website and the Pulse online magazine. Rules and email address for submission is below. Deadline is always the 21st of the month.
