The theme for the April contest is “Camaraderie.”

Our judges will be Helga Kidder judging poetry and Lee Ann Gillen judging fiction and nonfiction, assisted by Kate Landers.
Helga Kidder lives in the Tennessee hills with her husband. She was awarded an MFA from Vermont College. Her poems appeared in Poetry Quarterly, American Diversity Report, Conestoga Zen , and others. She was nominated for a Pushcart Prize and has four collections of poetry: Wild Plums, Luckier than the Stars, Blackberry Winter, and Loving the Dead which won the Blue Light Press Book Award 2020.
Lee Ann Gillen has been writing off and on for several decades – and has poems and non-fiction published in Pinesong, Bay Leaf, Windhover and several CWG Anthologies. She has also published in several academic journals. She especially enjoys reading and writing for children and young adults and likes to include nature and humor in her poetry and other writing. A lifelong love of music, she searches for sounds and rhythms in her writing that makes a piece sing and dance.
