I am a visual artist, writer and puppeteer. For many years my writing was confined to my personal journals but eventually I started releasing it out into the world. I have had short pieces published in newspapers including in the food section of The Chattanooga Times Free Press, a movie review in The CT Post and a ninety-nine-word story in the Hartford Courant. I went back to school and earned a Graduate Certificate in Puppet Arts from the University of CT and that led to getting my writing published in the 2024 Chicago International Puppetry Festival Archive and to writing skits for puppets. I wrote the story and built the shadow puppets for a skit called "Sam and Simone: A Goat and THE G.O.A.T." which was performed at Hetzel Art Gallery in Cleveland, TN. Then I discovered that I love writing short plays for human actors! My play "Cicada Love", a comedy, was performed at the Chattanooga Theatre Center as part of the Chatt 10- Minute Play Fest in 2024. It was also performed at Barking Legs Theater's Fringe Fest. In June 2026 my short play "Hey There Partner" will be performed five times at the Chattanooga Theatre Center as part of Next Exit Production's New Play Festival.
