You are invited to join CWG member and author M. D. (Peggy) Roblyer at the Reading Room bookstore and bar on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 2:00-4:00 PM for readings from her memoir and discussion about memoir development. CWG President Sherry Poff will introduce Peggy and lead the discussion.
The Reading Room at 3210B Brainerd Rd, Chattanooga, TN is a cozy, comfortable setting for meeting other authors and enjoying great drinks (alcoholic and nonalcoholic) and delicious homemade treats. Parking is in the back.
Peggy’s book Strong Glass: A Memoir of Escaping the Dark Mirror of Family History, released this summer by Apprentice House Press, tells of Peggy’s unwilling journey into the past after a traumatic event. In her exploration, she finds forgiveness, empathy, and absolution, shattering a cycle of generational trauma that once felt unbreakable.
A story both personal and universal, Strong Glass is what one reviewer called “A probing, reflective portrait of family and the fierce, fragile bonds that link us to one another.”
After the reading and discussion, copies of Strong Glass will be available for purchase and signing by the author.
