Jennifer Susan Smith is a retired elementary school speech and language pathologist. Her work appears in Mildred Haun Review, WELL READ Magazine, The Bluebird Word, San Antonio Review, and First Literary Review East, among others. Jennifer's writing is included in the anthologies Our Planet, Our Stories by Grub Street and The Fifty Word Stories of 2024 by Vine Leaves Press. A small sample of her writing will be featured in the book, Letting Grief Speak, by Diane Zinna through Columbia University Press. She holds a Master of Science Degree in Communicative Disorders from the University of Alabama and an Educational Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Lincoln Memorial University. After retirement, she obtained a Creative Writing Certificate from Kennesaw State University.
