Three-way Contest Deadline Extended to 5/05

Let’s keep the good work coming in! The initial dealine passed. But we found a couple of issues and understand a few members may have had difficulty logging in to submit their entries. Therefore, we are extending the deadline to May 5, 2025.

So, there’s still time to polish off and submit your work to round out a 2024 anthology. As previously noted, the Chattanooga Writers’ Guild seeks submissions of Poetry, Fiction, or Non-fiction–but with a twist. Each entry must include each of the following three words: rust, cut, and window. No exceptions. However, endings may be added. For example, acceptable endings for the word wood might be woods, woody, or wooded. However, the words Broadwoodwidger or woodpecker would not qualify. If you have questions, please email us.

Deadline to submit one work in each category is May 5, 2025.
Note the end date is not the final day of the month as are our typical monthly contests.

This contest is available to members only. Once logged into your account, the submission form (monthly contest) is under the “Members” tab on our homepage. If you need help logging in, please contact tech-support@chattanoogawritersguild.org. Winners will be notified around June 1. First place winner in each category will be awarded $50 and a copy of the anthology. Runners-up will receive an anthology copy.

Submission Guidelines (Please note they are different from the monthly contest rules.)

Again, the Three-Way Contest is available to current members of the Chattanooga Writers’ Guild only and is free to enter. Once logged into your account, the submission form (labeled as monthly contest) is under the “Members” tab on our homepage. If you need help logging in, please contact tech-support@chattanoogawritersguild.org. To become a member, click HERE.
