Chattanooga Writers’ Guild President Mark Anderson has just published his book, The Wisdom of Jesus, A Close Look at the Sermon on the Mount, and we are all invited to his launch parties.
Sunday May 19th, 3 to 5 pm at Wanderlinger Brewing Company, 1208 King Street Chattanooga. Open to all ages and Wanderlinger has a great food menu as well as some of the best beers in town.
Wednesday May 22, 6 to 8pm at 1603 Williams Street (front patio). This will include a potluck meal so you may bring something to share, or just come hungry. No alcohol please.

The Sermon on the Mount, given by Jesus, is one of the most influential passages in the history of religious literature. However, it has been used as a source of fanaticism as well as a source of deeply beautiful spirituality. The author takes us on a literary analysis of the sermon, tracing its roots back into the earliest parts of the Bible, and a careful analysis of literary patterns within the text. The result is a deep appreciation for the wise words of Jesus, which lead us into healthy spiritual lives.
