Are you a writer and a numbers person? Do you work your left brain and your right? Then being the Treasurer for the Chattanooga Writers’ Guild is for you. You do not need to be an accountant to be the Treasurer, however, you do need some basic bookkeeping skills and be able to balance a checkbook. The treasurer –
- monitors the bank account
- pays the bills
- files the necessary tax and non-profit documents
- posts membership dues
- sells books and other merchandise at events
- attends the monthly meetings
- prepares the budget
