Richard Winham interviews Gwen Mullins about writing, southern fiction, and parenthood. Gwen is in the process of submitting her first novel to a publisher, and she is also working on her second novel plus a short story collection. The second novel centers on a family coming to terms with the realization that their son may be a psychopath. She has already written a short story about the family titled “Violent Devotion” which was published in The Best Mystery Stories of the Year: 2022 anthology.
