Chicken Soup for the Soul: Teacher Tales, Out in February, Features Member's Story
Sherry Poff's story, "Not in My Class," appears in the book. This piece is one that she brought unfinished to a CWG small group meeting, where she received valuable input that helped her to polish it into its final form.
Resolution from Last Year Renewed
The above success story is a product of Sherry Poff's resolution to submit at least one thing a month during 2009. She aimed for 18 total, but managed only 12. Says Sherry, "Imagine what might have happened if I had done 18! I have renewed my pledge for the new year. I have an accountability partner, which helps tremendously."
Member's Poetry Published
Kitty Forbes' poem "In Japan" will appear in The Atlanta Review, spring 2010. Her poem "Loose Cookies, 1959" will appear in The McGuffin, spring/summer 2010.
