Tuesday, January 12, 2010
7:00 p.m.
Chattanooga-Hamilton County Bicentennial Library
Attorney and author Maury Nicely will share how he researched, wrote, and published his books, Chattanooga Walking Tour & Historic Guide, already published, and The East Tennessee Walking Tour & Historic Guide, to be published in 2010.
Do you make resolutions or goals for your writing at the beginning of the New Year? Any new ones this year? Any old ones you're renewing or trashing? We'd like to share some of those in upcoming newsletters and possibly a program. Please send one resolution or goal, such as "write __ words a day" or "send out a query/poem/article/story a month to editors" to kphillipso@aol.com .

Writers' Resolutions/Goals, 2010 My goals for the coming year are to pull the draft together [her NaNoWriMo novel] into a readable manuscript, find an agent, and get the thing published. -- Ellen Secrest
I am writing a historical fiction novel [based on work begun by her late grandfather in France in the World War II era], about three-fourths done, and it is my absolute goal to finish it by the end of this spring. I have done most of the research, and have written about 250 pages. (so another 100 or so to go.) -- Francine Fuqua
In 2010, I'd like to spend at least 10 minutes writing daily or write 100 words each day. Just think--365 X 100 words! -- Karen H. Phillips
Here's fodder for resolutions. Jonathan Fields blogs about work, life, entrepreneurship, and play:
