CWG to Launch Memoir-Writing Group
Based on the interest shown during the CWG's September Workshop, "Writing Our Family Stories," participants are forming a memoir group. Any paid member of CWG may join. Final details are not settled, but the group most likely will meet at St. Paul's Episcopal Church downtown on a Thursday each month. Several members have volunteered to alternate as facilitator. Friday, October 30, Last Open Mic of 2009 at Barnes & Noble, Led by KB Ballentine
Open Mic meets from 7:30-9:00 p.m. at Barnes and Noble in the Reference section. If anyone comes earlier (around 7:10 or so), a writing exercise is planned.
The list for this month included: something haunted/spooky, a geographical feature,
bridge, prism, salute, limp, pause/paws, collegiate, sacrosanct, simpleton.
The group will put together a couple of lists this time, with three months to write. B & N Open Mic will not meet again until the end of January.
